HRH Princess Lalla Salma presides over the opening of the 19th Fez Festival of World Sacred Music
Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Salma presided, on Friday evening, over the opening ceremony of the 19th Fez Festival of World Sacred Music, organised under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, around the theme "Fez the Andalusian". Upon her arrival at the historic Bab Al Makina square, the venue for the ceremony, HRH Princess Lalla Salma reviewed a detachment of the Auxiliary Forces that paid honours, before being greeted by the Minister of the Interior, Mohand Laenser, and the Minister of Culture, Mohamed Amine Sbihi.
HRH Princess Lalla Salma was then greeted by the Wali of the Fez-Boulemane region, Mohamed Dardouri, the President of the "Spirit of Fez" Foundation, the President of the Fez-Boulemane Regional Council, the Commander of the Garrison, the President of the Prefectural Assembly, the President of the Mechouar Fez-Jdid Commune, the Director General of the "Spirit of Fez" Foundation, as well as by members of the organising committee of this 19th edition of the Festival. Subsequently, Her Royal Highness watched the festival's inaugural show under the theme "Love is my religion", a poetic fresco of the history of Andalusia through dance, song, poetry, music, and filmed projections.
