Towards the establishment of a geographic information system for the economic mapping of the Fes-Boulemane region
The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIS) of the Fes-Boulemane region, meeting on Tuesday in Fes in an ordinary session for the month of February, adopted the draft convention relating to the establishment of a geographic information system (GIS) for the economic mapping of the region.Concluded between the CCIS and the Regional Council, the project tends to gather and analyse the economic data of the region in order to facilitate access to information and decision-making and strengthen the attractiveness of foreign direct investment.This system, which is part of the Emergence programme, will be carried out with a budget of around 3 million DH, of which the contribution of the Fes-Boulemane CCIS amounts to 2 million DH and the rest will be provided by the Regional Council.The GIS, as a vector of regional development, aims to identify and anticipate the needs of users, guarant…
