Under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, the Ministry of Culture is organising the 19th session of the Moulay Ali Cherif University on 21 and 22 November in Rissani and Errachidia, on the theme "Mohammed V and the building of independent Morocco: 1955-1961".

According to a statement from the Ministry, the university's scientific symposium, whose scientific committee is chaired by the Historiographer of the Kingdom, spokesperson for the Royal Palace, Abdelhak Lamrini, will see the participation of several researchers and historiographers from various university institutions and research institutes who will attempt to shed light on Moroccan history and civilisation under the Alaouite reign.

The first symposium, chaired by researcher Mustapha Chabi, will deal with the period from the protectorate to independence, while the second scientific symposium, chaired by Ahmed Chaouqi Binbin, will address the theme of "The birth of modern Moroccan diplomacy".
