The Mazagan Marathon Association organised the 2nd edition of the El Jadida International Half-Marathon last Sunday, won by Kenyan Kipyego Edwin, who clocked a time of 57min 9s. Among the women, the honours went to Kenyan Polline Wanjiku with a time of 1h 5min 54s.
In commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), the Mazagan Marathon Association organised the second edition of the El Jadida International Half-Marathon last Sunday. A competition that was once again dominated by Kenyan athletes, as the final victory went to Kipyego Edwin who covered the 21km in 57min 9s, followed by two Ethiopians: Muhajir Sraj (57min 13s) and Bedane Nigatu Getinet (57min 48s).
Among the women, the competition was also dominated by Kenyans, notably the winner Polline Wanjiku who achieved a time of 1h 5min 54s. Moroccan El Gmiri Kbira took the second step by signing a time of 1h 8min 20s, while Ethiopian Firegenet Mandifero Ayalew closed the podium with a time of 1h 11min 24s. Another Moroccan, Amina Amhihi, narrowly missed the podium by taking fourth place after signing a time of 1h 15min 53s.
