H.M. the King lays the foundation stone of a Socio-Cultural Centre in Bouskoura

A new realisation of the proximity policy advocated by the Sovereign since his accession to the Throne of his glorious ancestors, the future centre (6.33 million DH) enriches a series of social actions initiated within the framework of the INDH in the Grand Casablanca region, aimed at promoting human resources and improving the living conditions of local populations. This centre should contribute to the development of the target groups by creating cultural, educational and social activities that encourage youth empowerment and participate in the fight against juvenile delinquency and school dropout.

The Bouskoura Socio-Cultural Centre, which will be built on a 1,300 m² plot within 18 months, will include a multi-purpose hall, an exhibition hall, a library, a reading room, a multimedia space, workshops for various cultural, educational and artistic activities, a children's area, an open-air theatre, shops and a cafeteria. The result of a partnership between the INDH, the commune of Bouskoura and the "Palmeraie Développement" group, this project confirms the particular interest H.M. the King attaches to INDH projects, just as it testifies to the open and permanent nature of this reign's project.

It reinforces the development plan for the Grand Casablanca region (2015-2020), launched on the 26th of last September by H.M. the King, and whose first axis, which relates to the improvement of the living conditions of the inhabitants, gives particular interest to social categories in precarious situations and people with specific needs, in complementarity with the INDH programmes.
