Multidisciplinary medical campaign for the Douars of Bab Boudir in Taza

Multidisciplinary medical campaign for the Douars of Bab Boudir in Taza

Nearly 1,400 people benefited from the services of a multidisciplinary medical caravan, organized last weekend for the benefit of the Douars under the commune of Bab Boudir in Taza.

Initiated by the Taza province, this action is in accordance with the High Royal instructions aimed at providing the necessary aid to populations facing difficult climatic conditions during the winter season, reports the MAP.

The caravan carried out medical consultations in various specialties, including urology, gynaecology, dermatology, cardiology, gastrology, ENT, pulmonology, diabetes, ophthalmology, paediatrics, and general medicine, and proceeded to distribute a batch of medicines worth 45,000 DH.

This social action is part of the efforts aimed at bringing health services closer to citizens, particularly the rural population, and filling the deficit of medical staff at the level of this commune.

Supervised by a large multidisciplinary medical staff, the caravan aims to support the destitute populations at the level of the targeted communes and Douars, through awareness-raising on the importance of early screening to fight against certain deadly diseases.

Also part of the 2015/2016 programme to fight against the cold wave in mountainous areas at an altitude of more than 1,500 m, this operation was organized in partnership, in particular, with the provincial delegations of the Ministries of Health and Equipment and Logistics, the provincial coordination of the Moroccan Red Crescent, and the "Al Amal" (Hope) Association for the fight against diabetes.

Let us also note that in the Oujda-Angad province, the Association of Cancer Patients of the Oriental region organized last Sunday, in partnership with the "Vision" association, a medical caravan for the inhabitants of the rural commune of Bessara.

Thus, 456 people were able to benefit from this medical caravan, including 185 men and 202 women, while 69 children were examined by doctors.

In addition to medical examinations in different specialties (cardiology, diabetes, oral health, gynaecology), medicines were distributed during this campaign organized in partnership with the delegation of the Ministry of Health in the Oriental region.
