The Khamis Anjra commune, located between Tangier and Tetouan, is one of the largest rural communes in the northern region. Despite its strategic location and the natural products it boasts, which are displayed in its weekly Souk, it suffers from the absence of a model Souk that meets the needs of sellers and customers. This exacerbates the suffering of the population, especially during the winter season, when the Souk ground turns into puddles and mud due to the lack of strong infrastructure, which makes movement inside the Souk difficult and affects the display of agricultural products and goods. This situation forces many sellers, especially women who rely on this Souk as a primary source of income, not to display their goods due to the absence of covered areas that protect them from the harsh climate.
