About Ain Sfa
Ain Sfa is a Moroccan rural commune in the Oujda-Angad prefecture, in the Oriental region.
It has a total population of 5,082 inhabitants (2004).
Located 30 km north-west of the city of Oujda, the village takes its name from the water source located in its centre, Aïn Sfa or "Source of purity". Indeed, it is an integral part of the Beni Snassen mountain ranges, which offer magnificent green landscapes and a great diversity of flora.
4 km north of Aïn Sfa is the Sefrou cave. It is the source of a stream with a significant flow, which extends horizontally into the mountain and provides the inhabitants and the surrounding green valley with essential drinking and irrigation water.
