Lesieur Cristal, as part of its CSR approach focused on sustainable development and integrating a decarbonisation plan by 2030, has established a partnership with Nareva Services, a subsidiary of the Nareva group, a major player in renewable energies, for the installation of a solar photovoltaic power plant at the Ain Harrouda factory. "This partnership aims to install a solar photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 2 MWc at the Ain Harrouda factory.
This project embodies Lesieur Cristal's commitment to reducing its environmental impact, promoting sustainable industrial practices, and acting actively in favour of the climate, just as it does for Nareva Services to participate actively in the competitive decarbonisation of the national economy", indicate Lesieur Cristal and Nareva Services in a joint statement.
Through this collaboration, Lesieur Cristal and Nareva Services will combine their expertise to install 3,175 photovoltaic panels over an area of 1.5 hectares, allowing for a 12% reduction in Lesieur Cristal's annual energy consumption.
This project is part of the group's decarbonisation strategy, aiming for a 34% reduction in its CO2 emissions by 2030, compared to the 2020 reference year.
Quoted in the statement, Brahim Laroui, General Manager of Lesieur Cristal, declared: "This partnership with Nareva Services represents a major step forward in our decarbonisation strategy. We are committed to contributing to Morocco's energy transition, while strengthening our competitiveness and our commitment to the environment".

The Lesieur Cristal group continues to deploy concrete efforts to reduce its carbon footprint. The installation of this solar photovoltaic power plant is part of a broader project aimed at integrating renewable energies at other sites of the group.
By 2030, Lesieur Cristal aims to ensure the traceability of more than 75% of its soy and palm oil supply, while guaranteeing that its raw materials come from sustainable crops.
Furthermore, Lesieur Cristal also valorises its co-products, such as the kernel and the pomace, which are transformed into biofuels to power biomass boilers. This contributes to reducing its fossil fuel consumption and its carbon footprint.
