The tenth edition of the Agdal-Riad District Spring Festival will be held in Rabat, from 5 to 8 May 2016, on the theme "The security of our planet... in the quality of our climate". The French Republic is the guest of honour for this event organised by the Agdal-Riad district in partnership with the Mohammed V University-Rabat, the Ministry Delegate to the Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, in charge of the Environment, the National Agency for the Development of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, the National Human Rights Council, and the Economic, Social and Environmental Council. The official inauguration of this festival will take place on Thursday 5 May 2016 from 7:30 p.m. at Mahaj Riad, Ennakhil Avenue, Hay Riad in Rabat, in the presence of ministers and important personalities from the cultural, academic, and socio-economic fields.

This tenth edition aims to promote cultural, artistic, and environmental animation among the inhabitants of the Agdal-Riad district and the capital Rabat; to contribute and participate, as a concerned territorial entity, in the process of preparing for COP 22 which will be held next November in Marrakech, through citizen environmental cultural activities; to encourage innovations and operational initiatives aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change in the educational environment, civil society, and business.
