Two suspected dealers were arrested by the judicial police of the Sidi Bernoussi district, who also seized 3.6 kg of Chira, police sources indicated on Sunday.
At the time of their arrest, one of the two alleged dealers was in possession of 26 slabs of Chira, totalling 2.6 kg, while the other kilogram was found at his home, according to the same source.
The latter, who has eight previous convictions related to drug trafficking, did not hesitate to denounce his supplier, a resident of the north of the country, indicating that his accomplice was responsible for transporting the drugs from the city of Tetouan to Casablanca.
They were referred to the courts for forming a drug trafficking gang on a national scale, while a search warrant has been issued for the arrest of the supplier.
