In search of a modern and reinforced arsenal, the Moroccan Royal Armed Forces (FAR) are continuing their logistical strategy by ordering a new fleet of defense dump trucks from the Indian group Tata Motors. Involving LPTA 2445 model vehicles, this order comes in addition to an initial acquisition of 90 trucks of the same type, intended for logistical transport and ammunition handling.
According to the specialized portal Indian Defence Research Wing, this new transaction testifies to the growing strategic partnership between Morocco and India in the field of defence. It also illustrates the rise of the Tata group on the international market thanks to its robust solutions adapted to military needs.
The LPTA 2445 trucks have been designed to meet the requirements of difficult environments. They are distinguished by their ability to transport construction materials, water resources, and other essential supplies. Their ability to operate on rough terrain and support heavy loads makes them ideal equipment for complex military missions.
The specialized configuration of these new trucks differs from that of the previously delivered vehicles, which were mainly used for the transport of personnel, ammunition, and supplies. This model is also distinguished by its ability to be hitched to a 1.5-tonne capacity trailer, thus increasing the flexibility and transport capacity of the FAR.
By integrating these new trucks, the Royal Armed Forces strengthen their logistical efficiency and operational flexibility, crucial elements for maintaining their responsiveness in the field.
