Ahmed Amine, aged 90, has been elected as the new president of the rural commune of Ouled Amran in Sidi Bennour, succeeding his son Abdelkrim, who resigned from his position after joining the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM).
Sheikh Ahmed Amine, a member of the Constitutional Union party, received the approval of all members of the communal council without opposition, returning to his old position, where he presided over the council for many years before giving up the presidency in favor of his son and settling only for the vice-presidency.
