The President of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Casablanca-Settat region, Abdelkader Kandil, recently received Randy Romanski, Secretary of Agriculture of the State of Wisconsin (USA), accompanied by Marc Roda Rice, Director of Agricultural Export Development of the same institution.
The Moroccan delegation, composed in particular of Mohamed Zahidi, President of the Provincial Council of El Jadida, executives from the Regional Directorate of Agriculture, the National Office for Agricultural Advice and the Chamber of Agriculture, as well as Ali Hamoumi, Director of Agricultural Services at Nestlé, welcomed the promising exchanges with interest.
This visit is part of a joint effort aimed at boosting trade and investment between the two countries, with a particular focus on the agricultural sector. The goal: to identify mutually beneficial opportunities and build solid partnerships on a "win-win" model.
During the meeting, Khalil Hassnaoui, Head of the Agricultural Development Service, presented the key missions of the Chamber of Agriculture: advocacy, support, and training for farmers. He also highlighted the economic assets of the Casablanca-Settat region, particularly in the agricultural field, recognised for its diversity and dynamism.
Among the avenues for collaboration discussed are the development of artificial insemination for dairy heifers, the improvement of local breeds, the optimised management of agricultural holdings, and the adoption of advanced technical practices.
In closing, the American delegation praised the agricultural potential of the region and expressed its interest in sending experts in training and supervision to strengthen the skills of Moroccan producers. An initiative that could mark a turning point in agricultural relations between the two territories.
