The management of the Olympique Safi club, under the presidency of Mohamed El Haidaoui, has recently settled part of the pending salaries of its players.
According to a reliable source, the club president paid two months of salaries to the players as well as part of the arrears owed to the club's employees, in an effort aimed at reducing the debts weighing on the team, nicknamed the Sharks of Safi.
However, some players continue to demand the full payment of their dues, including signing bonuses. They threaten to seize the disputes commission to terminate their contracts if their demands are not met.
Furthermore, Olympique Safi supporters are urging the president to lift the recruitment ban imposed on the club, in order to allow the integration of new players in key positions requiring reinforcement during the current winter transfer window.
On the sporting level, Olympique Safi has restored hope to its fans by stringing together three consecutive victories during the last matchdays, notably by winning away against Moghreb de Fès, followed by victories against Union Touarga and Moghreb Tétouan.
Currently, Olympique Safi occupies 7th place in the Botola Pro standings with a total of 24 points.
