The kick-off was given yesterday, Monday, for the regional handicraft fair, which is being held at Place Sidi Boudhab in Safi. Organised at the initiative of the Handicraft Chamber of the Marrakech-Safi region, in partnership with the Maison de l'Artisan and in coordination with the Provincial Directorate of Handicrafts of Safi, this fair, which will continue until 16 August, is part of the efforts aimed at promoting the sector in accordance with the strategy of the Ministry of Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy. The event constitutes a great opportunity for artisans, cooperatives, associations, and companies in the sector to directly promote handicraft products to tourists.

The handicraft sector, considered one of the main economic activities of the Safi province, is distinguished by its quality and diversity with a dominance of pottery which remains the main industry of this sector.
