The city of Safi will host, on December 21, the 2nd edition of the international kick-boxing tournament, which will be held under the banner "The night of the challenge between the Lions of Africa and Europe".

This competition, scheduled at the city's indoor hall, will see the participation of Moroccan and foreign champions, coming from: Sweden, Croatia, the Netherlands, Colombia, France and New Zealand, indicated Mr. Omar Choubani, president of the "Aigles des sports" club, initiator of this event in coordination with the Professional Kick-boxing League and the Doukala-Abda regional league of full-contact and kick-boxing.

The organization of this second edition aims to promote professionalism in this discipline, offer conditions for success to young martial arts practitioners, particularly Moroccan champions who have achieved remarkable results at the national, African, Arab or international levels, in addition to contributing to the influence of the city of Safi, Mr. Choubani told MAP.

World champions are expected on this occasion, notably the Croatian Ivan Jovic (86 kg), the Dutch of Lebanese origin Nader Farhou (69 kg) and Brahim El Bouni (- 91 kg), the Dutchwoman Klein Lorena (54 kg), the Colombian Gilberto Vanes (80 kg) and the Swede Kevin Hessling (71 kg).

On the Moroccan side, Jihane Meziane (51 kg), world champion in Thai boxing, Abdellah Ablach (84 kg), Moroccan kick-boxing champion and Arab Thai-boxing champion (Egypt-2012), Mohamed El Boukhari (69 kg) African kick-boxing champion, Mohamed Idger (80 kg), African champion of the discipline (Madagascar-2012), Soufiane Khabchach (91 kg), multiple Moroccan champion in full-contact, kick and Thai boxing, and Zakaria El Idrissi (71 kg), Moroccan full-contact champion (juniors), will be competing.
