A civil servant at the Rommani municipality, Khemisset province, slit his wife's throat, aged forty-eight, mother of four children, on Saturday evening, we learn from a judicial source.

This father, aged fifty-four, committed this crime at his home on the Sebt Maghchouch Road, in Rommani, before handing himself over of his own free will to the elements of the royal gendarmerie of the region, added the same judicial source.

Still according to the same source, the accused did not give the motive for his crime while explaining that it was a misunderstanding between them. The accused specified to the investigators that he could only resolve his problem with his wife by killing her.

He specified having seized the knife and having slit her throat like a sheep to abandon her soulless body. Rushing to the scene, the gendarmes discovered the corpse lying in a pool of blood, which was evacuated to the morgue for an autopsy. As for the civil servant, he was brought yesterday, Monday, before the public prosecutor's office at the Rabat Court of Appeal.
