Rabat – The Ribat Al Fath Association for Sustainable Development organised, on Thursday in Rabat, an Andalusian musical evening, celebrating the music of “Al Ala”, as an authentic Moroccan heritage.
Falling within the framework of the 22nd edition of “Khamis Al Andaloussiates” (Thursday of the Andalusians), this musical evening was hosted by the orchestra “Nokhbat Chabab Salé for Samâa and Al Ala music”, directed by Hajj Abdelilah Zniber.
The group offered the public a selection of pieces drawn from the “Nouba Al Asbahan” to the glory of the Prophet (peace and prayer be upon Him), in a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
Its Andalusian notes enchanted the audience, seduced by the high vocal potential of the artist Abdeslam Sefiani, whose sensitivity and exceptional interpretation added a special touch to the concert.
Speaking on this occasion, Nabil Fenjiro, representing the organisers, indicated, in a statement to the MAP, that the musical evening is part of the association's continuous support for youth by welcoming new choirs and orchestras interpreting the music of Al Ala.
For his part, the artist Abdeslam Sefiani expressed his joy at participating in this evening, alongside a seasoned orchestra that includes the most skilled musicians and the sweetest young voices.
The artist also took this opportunity to express his thanks to the Ribat Al Fath Association for Sustainable Development, which deploys notable efforts to preserve the music of Al Ala, considered one of the jewels of authentic Moroccan heritage.
The association organises the “Khamis Al Andaloussiates” evening every year, through which it aims to preserve this Moroccan musical heritage.
It also aims to promote the music of Al Ala among young people, to satisfy the desires of passionate musicians and amateurs of this musical genre, and to pay tribute to one of the pioneers of this music in a gesture of sincere gratitude and deep loyalty towards an artist who worked with dedication for the promotion of this art, with a view to maintaining its presence on the artistic scene.
