The Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat will host, on 15 January, the "Evening of Middle Atlas Melodies" on the occasion of the Amazigh New Year 2975.
Organised by the Forum Association for Arts, Culture, Sport and Development, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, this Amazigh evening will be enhanced by the participation of several artists from the Middle Atlas, notably Chérifa, Mimoun Ourahou, Noureddine Ourahou, the "Ahidous Amsassa" troupe from Imouzzer-Kandar, as well as poets.
This evening aims to highlight the interest in Amazigh culture and heritage, as well as the richness and diversity of this cultural legacy, indicated the president of the Forum Association for Arts, Culture, Sport and Development, Mohamed Saoudi, cited by a press release from the organisers.
He added that this cultural event will also be an opportunity for the public to appreciate the rhythms of the Middle Atlas, notably Amazigh music and its variations such as Tamawayt, Inchaden and Ahidous.
