Resulting from a partnership between the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Arts et MĂ©tiers in France, the school was born from the desire to support the growth of companies in Morocco through the training of engineers and high-level executives to serve national and continental industrial needs, and through the development of research and innovation initiatives. The objective is to make the school a flagship of higher education in Morocco and a true technological hub for Africa.
The École Arts et Métiers Rabat campus, opened in September 2023, offers students the opportunity to pursue either the engineering degree, the Arts et Métiers Grande École Programme, or the Bachelor of Technology for the Industry of the Future, awarded by Arts et Métiers alongside the professional license.
Following the accreditation of training programmes and the integration of the first cohorts of engineering and License/Bachelor students in 2023, the 2024 academic year was marked by several major advances: the inauguration of a 12,000 m² building within the UM6P at Technopolis Salé; the strengthening of management staff and teacher-researchers; the granting of a favourable opinion by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieurs (CTI) to Arts et Métiers ParisTech for the issuance of the PGE engineering degree at the Rabat campus; and official recognition by the Moroccan State. Furthermore, two new cohorts of engineering and License/Bachelor students in technologies for the industry of the future began their training in September.
Furthermore, the Minister visited the school's premises, where he was able to learn about the innovative pedagogy and cutting-edge technical systems put in place to ensure high-level training in line with the evolving needs of the national industry and with new international industrial trends and requirements.
Ryad Mezzour also held multiple exchanges with the school's students, during which he reminded them that Morocco is heavily investing in its talents, who are considered the spearhead for building a high-performing and prosperous national economy.
The institution's prospects for 2025 include expanding the workforce to reach 190 students, developing cutting-edge technological platforms, notably the Evolutive Learning Factory, and intensifying partnerships with industrial players, positioning the school as a key player in Research & Innovation and industry.
