Rabat: Call to strengthen the role of the Arabic language in digital production

During a meeting held as part of the Forum on the Arabic language and quality content creation, organised by the Centre for the Arabic Language for Non-Arabic Speakers under the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), participants highlighted the importance of improving the quality of digital content in Arabic.

Speaking on this occasion, journalist and content creator Mohammed Yassin Saleh indicated that his passion for the Arabic language has not only enriched his knowledge but has also cultivated his curiosity for the world of words, regretting the weak presence of the Arabic language in the virtual space.

The enormous possibilities offered by digital platforms must be exploited in favour of the Arabic language, he said, noting that the most important criterion is to produce concise, precise, useful, and enjoyable content, far from the concern for the number of views.

For his part, the creator of the "Lissan Mubin" initiative, Mohamed El Amri, considered that content creation today represents an ideal opportunity to strengthen the visibility and use of the Arabic language around the world, calling for pooling efforts to promote content creation in Arabic.

For his part, Mohamed Laghdaf, creator of the "Al Amali" platform, emphasised the importance of the Arabic language as a "realistic" language, as well as its richness and its role in innovation and creativity, highlighting the contributions of the Arabic language to the fields of science, literature, philosophy, and other fields of knowledge throughout the centuries.

On the agenda of this forum is also a session on general cultural content creation in Classical Arabic, which brought together content creators from Morocco and elsewhere to share experiences and exchange points of view in the field of cultural content creation.

Content creators called, on Thursday in Rabat, to strengthen the role of the Arabic language in digital production, on the occasion of the celebration of World Arabic Language Day.
