The Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property announced that during the first nine months of 2024 in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, 7,912 businesses were created, with the commercial sector dominating with a share of 32.76 percent of the total businesses created.
The Office indicated that the services sector comes immediately after the commercial sector with 20.76 percent, followed by construction and real estate activities (20.45 percent), transport (7.61 percent), hotels and restaurants (5.71 percent), industry (5.17 percent), the information and communication technology sector (3.25 percent), financial activities (2.09 percent), and agriculture and fishing (2.02 percent).
By legal form, 65.6 percent of the created businesses are limited liability companies with a single partner, followed by limited liability companies at 33.7 percent. At the national level, the number of businesses created during the first nine months of this year reached 68,263, distributed between legal entities (49,164) and individuals (19,099).
The Office explained that these businesses are distributed between legal entities (5,926) and individuals (1,986), noting that the city of Rabat took the lion's share with 2,490 new businesses, followed by Kénitra (1,842), Témara (1,609), Salé (903), Tiflet (253), Sidi Kacem (206), Khemisset (169), Souk El Arbaa du Gharb (151), Mechraa Bel Ksiri (142), Sidi Slimane (131), and Rommani (16).
