The Morocco-Spain Economic Forum, organised under the theme "Morocco-Spain: a space of shared prosperity", opened on Tuesday in Rabat.

This forum is marked by the effective participation of H.M. King Juan Carlos I of Spain, on an official working visit to Morocco, at the invitation of H.M. King Mohammed VI, from July 15 to 18.

This meeting, organised at the initiative of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), brings together several ministers from both countries and 130 bosses, leaders of the most important Spanish and Moroccan public and private companies as well as numerous SMEs. The meeting, whose objective is the strengthening of the economic partnership between the two countries, will focus in particular on joint development internationally, shared growth through SMEs, technological partnership, connectivity, infrastructure, and co-location. The Spanish Sovereign is accompanied during this visit by an important delegation composed in particular of the Minister of Justice, Alberto Ruiz Gallardon Jimenez, the Minister of the Interior, Jorge Fernandez Diaz, the Minister of Public Works, Ana Maria Pastor Julian, the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria Lopez, and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Gonzalo de Benito Secades.

These officials will discuss ways to develop bilateral cooperation.
