Carrefour Médias-Mohammed V-Souissi University: Posthumous tribute to Abdeljabbar Shimi

As part of its strategy to engage with the socio-economic world and being aware of the importance of human skills in serving the progress and prosperity of Moroccan businesses, and in implementing the framework for improving the employability of graduates from Mohammed V-Souissi University (UM5S), particularly by increasing the integration rate of graduates into the socio-professional world, the Reception, Information, Orientation and Monitoring Centre of Mohammed V-Souissi University - Rabat is organising the 1st edition of the Media & UM5S Forum under the theme: "The UM5S student in the media landscape", on 29 May 2012, starting at 09:00 at the Faculty of Education Sciences, Madinat Al Irfane, Rabat.

This edition will be marked by a major tribute to the Moroccan writer and journalist Abdeljabbar Shimi, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Executive Training, the Minister of Communication and Government Spokesperson, the President of Mohammed V-Souissi University, and other dignitaries. The objectives of this forum are to strengthen the dynamic of exchange and communication between the academic world and the media, offer students the opportunity to practise journalism, help students acquire the necessary tools for collecting, processing and transmitting information, enrich the cognitive potential of students in all areas necessary for their training and development, support students in their cultural journey, and prepare highly competent students for the job market in the field of journalism, etc.
