The High Solicitude with which His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, never ceases to surround sport and youth was illustrated again through the inauguration by the Sovereign, in Oujda, of the "16 August" indoor multi-sports hall, the "Al Irfane" local socio-sports centre, and a rugby training field.

These projects, which required a budget of nearly 24 million dirhams, also reflect the constant desire of H.M. the King to give a strong impetus to the development process that the city of Oujda and its region are experiencing, as well as the enlightened vision of the Sovereign making sport a fundamental element for the development of the personal capacities and skills of young people. Realised within the framework of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) on an area of 3,600 m², the "16 August" indoor multi-sports hall notably includes a reception hall, a multidisciplinary playing area, an honorary stand, and bleachers with a capacity of 500 seats. The "Al Irfane" local socio-sports centre includes, for its part, four synthetic grass mini-football fields, a multi-sports field, and play areas.
