Attijariwafa bank launches its 2nd employment caravan in Oujda

A caravan that will travel through seven regions of the Kingdom to cover all the cities where Attijariwafa bank is established. It is a large-scale operation that will eventually allow for the recruitment of 550 new bank employees for 2012, in addition to 300 other positions to be filled through other recruitment procedures. The philosophy of this approach is to recruit new skills locally that are capable of responding to the new approaches advocated by the said bank, in line with the advanced regionalisation to which the country has committed itself. The bank is also convinced that all regions of the Kingdom are full of skills that could contribute to the revitalisation of local economies while making Attijariwafa bank a local bank. "We are betting on young people but also on the regions because Morocco is not limited to the Rabat-Casablanca axis. Banking in the regions is a shared conviction to accompany, in success, the economic boom that our country is experiencing," explained Maya Zeghari, Director of Recruitment and University Relations at the "Group Human Capital" level, to ALM. She continued: "Since we are a citizen bank, the profiles we are looking for are graduates of universities, public schools, institutes, and OFPPT, because the effort made by the State in this direction can only succeed if all financial and economic partners adhere to it by offering opportunities. Moreover, the real diploma is acquired through career management in our bank." As for Salah-Dine Khlifi, Director of the Rif and Oriental network, he insisted on the importance of optimising the regional approach. "This explains the reasons why our bank is going to meet these future employees and not the other way around." And he concluded that "the choice of local profiles will contribute to effectively addressing the expectations of the regions in terms of absorbing unemployment and banking, while developing our network of branches in line with the various modernisation efforts." In fact, there were two types of competitions in Oujda on Wednesday, 6 June. A first one for future forces (Bac + 2 or +3), which allowed for the recruitment of 17 out of a total of 69 candidates, and a second one reserved for executives (Bac + 5), which allowed for the recruitment of 14 candidates out of a total of 32. For the initiators of this employment caravan on the spot, the diversity of profiles is highly sought after. It is corroborated by a transparent collegiate recruitment process using modern tools to allow regional skills to contribute to the development of their respective regions while evolving professionally.
