The prisoner "was transferred urgently to the hospital on 1 January 2025 after suffering a health crisis that led to his death as indicated in the death certificate", the same source highlights, noting that the competent public prosecutor and the prisoner's family were informed of this.
It recalled that "the individual received a family visit on 31 December 2024, a day during which his state of health was normal", noting that "he had undergone a series of medical examinations within the establishment as well as at the public hospital, the last one dating from the 23rd of the same month".
Given "the gravity of the false allegations", the establishment's management has decided to file a complaint with the competent judicial authorities.
