Like the various regions of the Kingdom, the efforts to fight poverty and social exclusion in Midelt have benefited from an acceleration after the entry into force of the second phase of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) 2011-2015.
Thanks to this decision to bring the poverty rate down to 14% instead of 30% for eligibility for the INDH rural poverty reduction program, seven new communes have now found themselves eligible to benefit from INDH funding. Thus, the rural communes of Mibladen, Ait Ben Yaâcoub, Gourama, Sidi Ayad, Amougar, Imilchil, and Outerbat were included for the first time in the targeted category, bringing to twenty the total number of rural communes concerned at the level of the Midelt province by the second phase (2011-2015) of this major socio-economic integration project.
