Botola Pro D1 "inwi": Kawkab Marrakech takes the lead, COD Meknès confirms
4th matchday The fourth matchday of the Botola Pro D1 "inwi", played from 12 to 18 October, was marked by Kawkab Marrakech taking power, the good momentum of COD Meknès, and several indecisive matches, punctuated by a sharing of points. At the top of the standings, the Marrakchi club sits alone at the helm with nine points, after its precious away victory against Wydad Témara (1-0). Kawkab thus achieves a great operation and confirms its ambitions at the start of this season. Behind it, COD Meknès occupies second place with seven points, thanks to its narrow success against Union Touarga (1-0). A victory that allows the Meknassis to stay in contact with the leader and consolidate their position among the top teams. With seven units as well, Hassania Agadir, Union Touarga, Ittihad Tanger, and Maghreb Fès form a compact group at the top of the table. Hassania shared the points with AS FAR (2-2), while Ittihad Tanger got the better of Maghreb Fès (2-1), signing an important success against a direct competitor. The other highlight of this matchday is the demonstration of Difaâ El Jadida, a large winner over Moghreb Tétouan (4-1). With six points, the Doukkalis move up to seventh place and show encouraging offensive efficiency. Conversely, MAT will have to react quickly to avoid getting bogged down in the second half of the standings. The two matches played on Tuesday ended in draws. Renaissance de Berkane and Renaissance Zemamra neutralised each other (2-2), as did FUS Rabat and Raja Casablanca (1-1). Raja, which however has one match less, totals five points and retains room for improvement. Wydad Casablanca, for its part, was held in check at home by Amal Tiznit (1-1), a result that leaves the Reds in ninth place with five points. At the bottom of the standings, FUS Rabat and Renaissance Zemamra close the march with two and one point respectively. At the end of this fourth matchday, the Botola Pro D1 remains particularly open. While Kawkab Marrakech leads the dance, the small gaps behind it promise a tight fight for the top places, while several teams will have to quickly find the path to victory so as not to fall behind.
