Meknès at the time of its 4th TV Film Festival

The 4th Meknès TV Film Festival organised, under the High patronage of H.M. King Mohammed VI, by the Al-Ard Al Hour (Free Projection) Association, started on Friday night.

The inaugural ceremony of this event, organised in partnership with the regional council and the urban commune of Meknès-Tafilalet, the National Society of Broadcasting and Television (SNRT) and 2M, was marked by a ceremony in tribute to the famous artists Naima El Mcharki and SaâdAllah Aziz.

Thus, various testimonies highlighted the professional career and brilliant performance of these two leading figures who have left their mark on national television production.

This artistic meeting aims to strengthen the competitiveness of TV film directors and give substance to dramatic production with a view to regaining the place it deserves, indicates the president of the organising association, Mehmoud Belhcen.

He added that the association is working to make the TV film a fundamental lever and an important platform reflecting the various issues of civil society and contributing to the development of TV film production.

In addition to the organisation of a round table on dramatic production in TV films, this meeting will be enhanced by the screening of ten TV films produced by the SNRT and 2M in official competition.

The films will be screened before a jury composed of Youssef Fadel, Mohamed Meftah, Sanae Agroud as well as the Emirati journalist Aissa Al Mile.

This edition (13-18 March) will see the participation of France, as guest of honour.
