El Houssaine Louardi, Minister of Health, is moving to sanctions against doctors who have failed in their commitment. This is how the provisional suspension of two doctors practising in Meknes was decided. A source at the Ministry of Health mentions as a reason a "serious failure". The latter consists of the refusal to ensure permanence for service needs and emergencies, despite repeated calls from the acting director of the hospital and the ministry's delegate. Another female doctor was also suspended and her salary stopped (except for family allowances, if applicable). The supervisory ministry reproaches her for not respecting her professional commitments. It is more precisely a question of her refusal to ensure permanence in her speciality at the Banio regional mother and child hospital, on Friday, May 2. The doctor in question allegedly ignored the incessant calls from the ministry's delegate and the head of human resources of the delegation. According to this source, the doctor was called "to save the lives of pregnant women and patients in a critical state requiring surgical intervention and to take care of other women who were waiting for emergency medical examinations". Also pointed out is the absence of the occupational physician from Wednesday, April 30. Note that the provisional suspension of these doctors, with stoppage of salary, was decided by virtue of Article 73 of the Dahir bearing the general statute of the public service.
