International Animation Film Festival: Canada is the guest of honour in Meknes

Canadian animation will be in the spotlight during the 13th edition of the Meknès International Animation Film Festival (FICAM), scheduled from 21 to 26 March. For the great pleasure of lovers of this genre, the organisers of this event, namely the Aïcha Foundation and the French Institute of Meknès, have concocted an unprecedented programme, dedicated to Canadian animation. It includes tributes, competitions, screenings, workshops as well as Master Classes. Starting with a tribute paid to one of the leading figures of Canadian animation cinema, Norman McLaren. This celebration is part of the centenary of his birth. On this occasion, a short film by this master will be screened before each session and a series of initiation and awareness workshops on the techniques of this pioneer of animation will be scheduled.
