Gabonese President Ali Bongo will pay a visit to Morocco next week, where he will participate in the Agriculture Conference and then in the opening of an International Fair on this theme, on Tuesday and Wednesday in Meknès (centre), the MAP agency indicated on Sunday.
Mr. Bongo will arrive in the kingdom on Monday and will present "a presentation" the next day as part of the Agriculture Conference, before attending the opening of the 8th edition of the International Agricultural Fair in Morocco (Siam) on Wednesday, according to this source.
The Siam constitutes a "crossroads" aimed at "promoting cooperation with sub-Saharan countries in the agricultural field," according to its commissioner Jaouad Chami.
The ties between Morocco and Gabon, where Mohammed VI visited last month, are close. During this last visit, Libreville and Rabat notably agreed to accelerate the establishment of the Moroccan-Gabonese Business Council.
Many Moroccan companies have established themselves in recent years in Black Africa, and notably in Libreville, like Maroc Telecom, the majority shareholder of Gabon Telecom.
