The organisation of this symposium comes in a context marked by Morocco's trend towards developing and strengthening the initial structures of its research and innovation system and promoting its economic and industrial fabric. Indeed, Morocco's strategy for encouraging innovation recognises, above all, the importance of improving the legislative and institutional framework in order to promote efficient mechanisms intended to improve the quality and quantity of patents, and the commitment of companies and project leaders to the University. According to the organisers of this symposium, this climate of trust will certainly have a positive impact on innovation and, consequently, on the improvement of the competitiveness framework, by intensifying both awareness-raising and training actions. The tools to foster the exchange of experiences and best practices, both in terms of policies and innovation support instruments, as well as the mechanisms to strengthen awareness-raising efforts on the importance of innovation for competing in the new context of globalisation, will be debated during this symposium. This meeting will also be an opportunity to discuss the modalities favouring the process of regionalisation of innovation support and awareness of the opportunities made available by international cooperation and the creation of capacities to enable the seizing of opportunities and the setting up of projects.
