How to maintain confidence in the future when everything seems to be accelerating? This question runs through Factory of Hope, the new exhibition by Meriam Benkirane, presented from October 23 to November 28, 2026 at La Galerie 38 Marrakech. Faced with information overload and crises that disrupt our bearings, the artist seeks in painting a space for slowness, emotion, and hope.
Born in Casablanca in 1984, Meriam Benkirane develops a practice that combines painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, and mural painting. Her compositions explore the relationships between the systems we build and our sensitive side. The mechanical meets the organic, forms interlock, and lines organise worlds in motion. With this new series, her language takes on a more intimate tone: compositions become more airy, forms space out, and light finds more room.
