The volume of overnight stays recorded in the various classified tourist accommodation establishments (EHTC) of Marrakech recorded an increase of 9% at the end of last February, reaching a total of 1,536,868 against 1,405,404 overnight stays a year earlier, according to the Tourism Observatory.
Thus, the occupancy rate in the EHTC of the Ochre City stood at 68%, against 62% compared to the same period of 2024, the Observatory specifies in its statistics on the evolution of tourism in Morocco for the month of February.
During the month of last February, classified hotel establishments in Marrakech posted an 11% increase in the number of overnight stays, totalling 792,194 overnight stays with an occupancy rate of 73%, against 712,879 overnight stays and an occupancy rate of 67% in February 2024, reports the MAP.
At the national level, the volume of overnight stays recorded in EHTC reached more than 4.2 million overnight stays at the end of February 2025, an increase of 16% compared to the same period a year earlier, notes the Observatory.
These overnight stays, the same source continues, are divided between national tourism, up 6%, and international tourism, which recorded an increase of 20%.
