The 3rd World Summit on Intellectual Property and Access to Medicines (GSIPA2M) opened this Tuesday in Marrakech, bringing together over a hundred public health experts, lawyers, researchers, activists, and institutional representatives from 24 countries.
Organised by the ITPC-MENA Association (International Treatment Preparedness Coalition) in partnership with several international networks, this new edition of GSIPA2M takes place in a specific context: thirty years after the entry into force of the WTO's TRIPS agreement, debates on the balance between intellectual property and the right to health are more relevant than ever.
