Marrakech: (Concentrix) inaugurates its second laboratory dedicated to AI innovation

Marrakech – The (Concentrix) group, a global leader in technological solutions and customer experience, inaugurated its second “Tek Lab” dedicated to AI innovation in Marrakech on Tuesday.

The new innovation laboratory, which was inaugurated on the occasion of the third edition of the “Gitex Africa Morocco” exhibition and is located at the company's site in the Sidi Ghanem industrial district, is part of the Group's ambition to make Morocco a reference technological hub in Africa.

As an open and advanced collaborative space, the Marrakech “Tek Lab” welcomes collaborators, start-ups, students, researchers, and partners for experimentation, co-development, and prototyping of the solutions of tomorrow.

This new centre is distinguished by its specialisation in advanced technologies, with hubs dedicated to ”AI applied to customer experience”, ”intelligent automation of business processes”, ”augmented experience design”, and ”predictive analytics, for better data utilisation”.

On this occasion, the General Manager of (Concentrix) in Morocco and the Maghreb, Redouane Mabchour, stated that “the inauguration of the second (Tek Lab) in Marrakech is not an end in itself, but a catalyst. We want to make Morocco an advanced base for digital transformation in Africa, by building bridges between technology, talent, and businesses”.

He noted that the Group aspires to play a pivotal role in enabling Moroccan and African talent to acquire a culture of technology, while supporting local and regional businesses in their digital transformation, pointing out that this new laboratory will make its resources, technological infrastructure, and international expertise available to collaborators to train them and strengthen their long-term employability.

He explained that “this research centre is also open to Moroccan start-ups, partners of (Concentrix), especially those facing technological or financial challenges”.

In a statement to the Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) agency, the Director of Strategy and Transformation at (Concentrix) Maghreb, Roeya Cherkaoui Salhi, highlighted that the “Tek Lab” will be a space for training and acquiring culture regarding new technologies, open to collaborators as well as students from partner universities, noting that this space dedicated to innovation will allow collaborators and students to benefit, once their projects are mature, from a network of incubators and start-up accelerators.

During the inauguration ceremony, attendees were able to explore the technological facilities of the “Tek Lab” in Marrakech through a guided tour. Moroccan start-up entrepreneurs also presented their projects and the challenges facing start-ups on this occasion.

The (Concentrix) group, present in Morocco for over 22 years, employs thousands of collaborators spread across 12 sites. The company continues to reaffirm its commitment to digital transformation and the promotion of employability in Morocco.

It should be noted that the 2025 edition of the “Gitex Africa Morocco” exhibition, organised under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, is distinguished by the diversity of its sectoral seminars, innovative initiatives in the creative industry, and networking forums that provide high added value.

This event constitutes a new step in strengthening the Kingdom's position as an essential platform for digital innovation in Africa. Every year, the exhibition brings together key players in the technology sector to discuss digital issues, AI, and innovation in Africa.
