Marrakech – Concentrix, a global leader in technological solutions and customer experience, inaugurated its second “Tek Lab” dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI) innovation in Marrakech on Tuesday.
Located in the Sidi Ghanem industrial district, this new innovation laboratory, inaugurated on the occasion of the 3rd edition of Gitex Africa Morocco, is part of the Group's desire to make Morocco a reference technological hub in Africa.
Designed as an open and evolving collaborative space, the Marrakech Tek Lab welcomes collaborators, start-ups, students, researchers, and partners to experiment, co-develop, and prototype the solutions of tomorrow.
This new centre is distinguished by its specialisation in cutting-edge technologies, with hubs dedicated to “AI applied to customer experience”, “intelligent automation of business processes”, “augmented experience design (XD)”, and “predictive analytics, for better data utilisation”.
“The inauguration of this second Tek Lab in Marrakech is not an end, it is a catalyst. We want to make Morocco an advanced base for digital transformation for Africa, by creating bridges between technology, talent, and businesses”, emphasised Redouane Mabchour, General Manager of Concentrix in the Maghreb, during the inauguration ceremony.
He noted that the Group aims to play a key role in the technological acculturation of Moroccan and African talent, while supporting local and regional businesses in their digital transformation, indicating that this new Tek Lab will make its resources, technological infrastructure, and international expertise available to collaborators to ensure their training and strengthen their long-term employability.
“This research centre is also accessible to Moroccan start-ups, partners of Concentrix, particularly those facing technical or financial challenges”, he specified.
In a statement to the MAP, Roeya Cherkaoui Salhi, Director of Strategy and Transformation at Concentrix Maghreb, explained that Tek Lab will serve as a space for training and acculturation to new technologies, open to collaborators as well as students from partner universities, noting that this place of innovation will allow collaborators and students to benefit, once their projects are mature, from a network of incubators and start-up accelerators.
During the inauguration ceremony, guests were able to discover the high-tech facilities of the Marrakech Tek Lab through a guided tour.
On the same occasion, three Moroccan start-up entrepreneurs presented their projects and the challenges their companies face.
Present in Morocco for over 22 years, Concentrix, which employs several thousand collaborators across 12 sites, continues to reaffirm its commitment to digital transformation and the promotion of employability in Morocco.
Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 2025 edition of Gitex Africa Morocco stands out for a multitude of sectoral conferences, innovative initiatives in the creative industry, and high-value networking forums.
This event marks a new step in positioning the Kingdom as an essential platform for digital innovation in Africa.
The exhibition brings together key technology players every year around issues of digital, AI, and innovation in Africa.
