8th Maroc Fashion Week: Marrakech vibrates to the rhythm of a fashion show celebrating the elegance of the Moroccan caftan
The Moroccan caftan was celebrated in all its splendor and magic during a colorful fashion show organized on Saturday in Marrakech, as part of the 8th edition of the Maroc Fashion Week.

Organized by the Silk Road and Al-Andalus Association and held under the theme "Fashion of yesteryear and today," this event provided an opportunity to trace the evolution of the caftan and contemporary creations by local and international designers for a unique sensory experience combining elegance, tradition, and innovation.

The event, which was also an opportunity to announce the birth of a partnership between the association and Nasli Holding, began with an exhibition of antique caftans, offering a journey through the history of this iconic garment, followed by a fashion show highlighting caftans from private collections, showcasing the richness and diversity of this traditional Moroccan garment.

During this evening, lovers of fashion and refined elegance were also able to discover a collection of traditional Azerbaijani dresses, created by talented Azeri designers and presented by Nargis Magazine, a reference in fashion and lifestyle media in this Caucasus country.

Then came contemporary creation with the Moroccan Wafaa Idrissi, who presented sublime caftans where tradition and modernity blended harmoniously.

The fashion designer Mina Binebine, for her part, explored modern lines while integrating elements of Moroccan craftsmanship, thus offering a current vision of feminine elegance. The whole event was accompanied by the enchanting melodies of Andalusian music, creating an atmosphere conducive to wonder and emotion.

In a statement to MAP, the Deputy General Manager of Nasli Holding, Florian Poirson, indicated that this fashion show celebrated both the modern and ancient caftan, within the Marrakech Museum of Culinary Art, which aims to be a major center for the transmission of culinary heritage and the art of living.

For his part, the Communications Director of Nasli Holding, Mamoun Sinaceur, emphasized that this event aims to connect all ancestral traditions, as well as Moroccan art in all its splendor, particularly through fashion and collections of antique caftans, while promoting new talents.

The "Maroc Fashion Week," which also includes the "Marrakech Fashion Week" and the "Tanger Fashion Week," is an essential platform for meetings and a springboard for creators, artisans, and designers reinterpreting the rich Moroccan and Oriental cultural heritage with a modern touch.

Organized in iconic venues such as historic Riads and exceptional palaces, this event highlights a contemporary aesthetic while valuing artisanal heritage.

Each edition of this cultural event celebrates local craftsmanship through elegant creations, witnesses to a harmonious dialogue between tradition and modernity.
Beyond the fashion shows, the "Maroc Fashion Week" is also committed to promoting responsible and sustainable practices, thus strengthening local craftsmanship and ethical approaches.
