Marrakech – The judicial police elements in the city of Marrakech, based on precise information provided by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, managed today, Friday, to arrest a person with a criminal record, 35 years old, for his suspected involvement in a case related to the possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
A security source stated that the suspect was arrested aboard a road freight transport truck, in field coordination with the Royal Gendarmerie elements in the "Tamansourt" area on the outskirts of Marrakech, where the search operation resulted in finding 14,185 Ecstasy narcotic tablets in his possession.
The same source added that the search operation carried out at the suspect's home in Marrakech led to the seizure of 6,000 additional narcotic medical tablets, bringing the total seizures of psychotropic substances during this operation to 20,185 narcotic tablets.
The suspect has been subjected to judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor's Office, in order to reveal all the circumstances and details of this case, as well as to determine the rest of the possible extensions of this criminal activity.
