Rabat – Marrakech will host the third edition of “GITEX Africa Morocco 2025” from April 14 to 16.
A statement from the organisers indicated that this edition, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, will feature specialised summits and the launch of exclusive creative initiatives.
The source added that this event, organised by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, in partnership with the Digital Development Agency and “KAOUN International,” is the largest technological and entrepreneurial event in Africa.
It was noted that “GITEX Africa Morocco 2025,” as the largest and most influential technological event on the continent, solidifies its position as a leading platform for innovation, bringing together investors and technology pioneers and stimulating economic and digital growth in Africa.
Following the great success of the previous two editions, “GITEX Africa Morocco 2025” aims for a new leap forward. This edition will be characterised by sector-specific conferences, innovative initiatives in the creative industry, and high-value networking forums, as well as strengthening synergies between governments, investors, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders.
The 2025 edition, which will focus on digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence developments, and the latest technological innovations, aims to enhance Africa's position as a key player in the global technology landscape.

The “Africa Future Connectivity Summit” is one of the new features of the 2025 edition, a platform bringing together key players in telecommunications, cloud computing, and data centres.

This edition will be attended by a select group of government officials, regulatory bodies, and technology industry leaders to discuss pivotal issues related to artificial intelligence governance, digital legislation, and policies shaping the future of innovation in Africa.
In this context, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, emphasised the importance of this commitment, adding that “following the resounding success of the 2024 edition, Morocco is proud to host the third edition of “GITEX Africa,” confirming its firm commitment to playing a pivotal role in the continent's digital transformation.”
The Minister noted that this edition, organised with strong support from the Moroccan Government, will provide an opportunity to highlight strategic sectors such as Educational Technology (EdTech), Agricultural Technology (AgriTech), Health Technology (HealthTech), and Sports Technology (SportsTech), affirming that this event will bring together industry leaders, innovators, and decision-makers to pave the way for effective partnerships that accelerate the continent's integration into the global digital economy, thereby strengthening Africa's position as a global innovation hub.
This edition will see the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a branch of the World Bank dedicated to financing the private sector, join “GITEX Africa” as an Economic Development Partner.
The IFC's participation reflects its commitment to promoting sustainable investments and accelerating digital transformation in Africa, where it will highlight the intersection of global investment, technology, and entrepreneurship.
In a related context, the “SheWins Africa” initiative, launched by the IFC, will have a prominent place among the event's activities, aiming to empower women-led startups, enhance their role in the digital economic landscape, and achieve more inclusive and sustainable economic growth across the African continent.
