"La Nuit Nous Emportera" is the thirteenth work of Mahi Binebine, recognized for his profound and poignant literary works that explore human and social complexities.

In this luminous and tragic work, whose events take place in the alleys of the red city, the author displayed his immense narrative talent and his ability to depict reality with unique sensitivity.
"This work is a tribute to my mother, who had to fight relentlessly to raise her seven children and make them fulfilled and well-integrated individuals in their society", emphasized Mahi Binebine in a statement to the MAP.
"La Nuit Nous Emportera" is the story of a courageous mother who found herself with seven children, but who knew how to face the miseries of daily life without weakening and lead the household alone", he added.
"This mother showed us the way and gave us the example to never give up and continue to believe in one's dreams", he insisted.
"La Nuit Nous Emportera" is basically an autobiographical novel where the narrator "flees from this bitter reality to invent characters that resemble real people".
In this work, Mahi Binebine uses ingenious literary devices such as digressions and dreams to be able to capture the attention of readers and encourage them to continue the story until the end without weariness.
A native of Marrakech, Mahi Binebine has to his credit globally successful works, translated into several languages, including "Le Sommeil de l'esclave" (1992), "Terre d'ombre brulée" (2004), "Le Griot de Marrakech" (2005), "Les Étoiles de Sidi Moumen" (2009), and "Rue du Pardon" (2019).
This writer has also received several distinctions in recognition of his brilliant literary career, including the Mediterranean Prize for his novel "Le Sommeil de l'esclave" and the 2010 Arab Novel Prize for his work "Les Étoiles de Sidi Moumen".
