2024 CAF Awards: Gala match in Marrakech with the participation of African football legends

This match featured players from the Moroccan national team that participated in the 1986 and 1998 World Cups and the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations, the women's national team coach, Jorge Vilda, Senegalese star Khalilou Fadiga, Egyptian star Mohamed Zidan, and Moroccan stars Tarik Sektioui and Nabil Baha.

At the end of this meeting, Senegalese legend El-Hadji Diouf stressed that Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, has all the means and offers all the conditions to successfully host major sporting events.

For his part, Mohamed Zidan noted that previous CAF Awards ceremonies hosted in Morocco had been a resounding success, adding that this year's competition for the awards rewarding excellence in African football was "fierce and exciting".

For his part, former Moroccan star Ahmed Bahja noted that the Kingdom of Morocco has always known how to organise sporting events of the highest level.

In this sense, he stated that the Kingdom has all the means and assets to ensure the success of the 2025 AFCON and the 2030 World Cup.

A gala match that brought together legends of African football was organised on Monday at the El Harti stadium in Marrakech, as part of the 2024 CAF Awards.
