On this occasion, H.R.H. Princess Lalla Hasnaa toured the various stands of this exhibition where explanations were provided to her on all the actions carried out by the various national and international institutional partners and actors in terms of environmental protection and the promotion of environmental education. This exhibition also highlights the activities and actions undertaken by schools through the "Eco-schools" programme for the promotion of environmental education. It offers the opportunity for the creation of a concept of ecological stands composed of recycled and recyclable natural materials (used wood, wooden crates, plastic bottles) and which are intended to raise awareness of environmental protection issues. As for the choice of materials and their creative implementation, they demonstrate that it is possible to give new life to obsolete objects. The energy consumption of the stand is reduced thanks to the use of low-consumption light sources. This involves highlighting stands with low-energy LED lights in order to achieve the "minimum carbon" objective. These ecological stands will have a second life as educational supports for environmental education, with implementation within the Eco-schools of the city of Marrakech. Thus, H.R.H. Princess Lalla Hasnaa visited the Ministry of National Education stand, the Ministry of Energy, Mines, Water, and Environment stand, the Cooper Pharma stand, the Oriental Agency stand, the Moroccan Agency for Tourism Engineering (SMIT) stand, the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy (MAESEN) stand, the Amendis Rédal stand, the innovation and learning workshop, and the Ciments du Maroc workshop (scientific recycling workshop with students from the Marrakech Academy Eco-school). H.R.H. Princess Lalla Hasnaa also visited the "Green Chip" workshop of the Al Jisr association on the management and valorisation of electronic waste, the Cadi Ayyad University workshop for the valorisation of sugar industry by-products by composting, the Professional Association of Cement Manufacturers (APC) stand, the Nestlé stand, the Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) stand, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection stand, the Southern Agency stand, the Belgian Development Agency (CTB) stand, and the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) stand. Her Royal Highness also visited the Casablanca Pedagogical Farm workshop (creation of seed balls for the greening of collective spaces in urban areas, demonstration and tasting of infusions of aromatic and medicinal plants), led by Ms. Marion Primat, in charge of education activities, the Eco-schools workshop (thematic workshops for demonstration and exhibition of students' work as part of the Eco-schools programme), as well as the Youssef Chetati workshop, in partnership with the Oriental Agency, on the environment and fine arts via artistic recycling. H.R.H. Princess Lalla Hasnaa also visited the "Réflexes" workshop, the Young Reporters for the Environment (JRE) workshop "E-Journal WEEC 2013", whose development and editing will be carried out by 9 JRE high school students from the Marrakech Academy, the Maison du Conte Maroc workshop (narration of environmental tales led by 4 storytellers), the Young Reporters for the Environment workshop (aromatic plant distillation workshop led by 4 high school students and a supervisor from the Koutoubia high school in Marrakech), the BMCE Foundation stand, the OCP Foundation stand, the Crédit Agricole stand, and the Northern Agency stand. H.R.H. H.R.H. Princess Lalla Hasnaa also visited the SPANA (Society for the Protection of Animals and Nature) Eco-Bus, an exhibition bus on the wonderful world of animals, as well as the Eco-Bus of the Marrakech City Waste Management Company (Tech-Med).
