This Palace became a theatre for an evening that was very eclectic and rich in surprises, during which the public attended shows where delirium was very much present. The thousands of spectators were indeed embarked in a completely delirious universe by the initiator of the Festival, Jamel Debbouze, and other big names in humour who wanted to share real moments of laughter with the public. At the closing of this great mass of humour of four days, initiated under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Jamel Debbouze was surrounded notably by Franck Dubosc, Michael Youn, Jonathan Lambert, Ary Abittan, Kev Adams, Audrey Lamy, Rachid Badouri, Malik Bentalha, Abderrahmane Ouaabad (Eko), Patrice Thibaud and Youssef Ksiyer.
This evening was the opportunity for big names in laughter and rising stars to treat the public to new sketches written for the occasion, both solo and in duos created especially for the closing gala. Furthermore, during a press conference held earlier in the day, Jamel Debbouze said he was very proud of both the scale the Festival has taken, the enthusiasm of the comedians who want to participate in it, and the presence of a large and intergenerational public. The "Marrakech du Rire" has become an "extraordinary laboratory" for discovering young talent, he said, before calling for more support in order to further consolidate the place of this great humorous event.
Created in 2011, the Festival returned in 2013 with an edition rich in stars from several scenes and having in common a talent, that of sowing joy and making people double over with laughter in the halls where they perform. This great festive event, with so many headliners, benefited from wide media coverage, both national and international, including the French television channel "M6" which will broadcast the closing gala in prime time on 20 June.
