Release of twenty-seven detainees in Khouribga

The Khouribga Court of Appeal has finally released twenty-seven of the twenty-nine young detainees, sons of OCP Group retirees, after a year of pre-trial detention. This release is subject to a sentence of six months to one year of imprisonment, following the tragic events of 5 June 2012.Nevertheless, one of the other two detainees will be released next August, while the second will remain in prison following a complaint filed by his ex-wife for non-payment of alimony.It should be recalled that the events date back to 5 June 2012, during a sit-in by the sons of retirees in front of the OCP administration. A sit-in that turned into a direct confrontation with law enforcement.
