The medical campaign "Azyr Santé Mobile", organized by the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works of Education-Training, made a stop on Wednesday in Khemisset.
This campaign, intended to improve health services for the Foundation's members and their families, was distinguished by the deployment of a mobile diagnostic centre that offers a range of free local services, including screening for serious and chronic diseases, in addition to consultations in general medicine, ophthalmology, cardiology, gynaecology-obstetrics, and paediatrics.
In a statement to the press, the delegate director of health within the Foundation, Al Mountacer Charif Chefchaouni, stressed the importance of early screening for certain types of cancers such as those of the cervix, breast, and prostate, as well as digestive cancers in patients over 50 years old.
Equipped with a mobile laboratory and a radiology service, the centre is capable of ensuring 250 treatments per day, he added, noting that sanitary trailers specially designed for medical consultations and biological and radiological analyses have been mobilized.
The mobile diagnostic centre is committed to making 50 stops each year in small and medium-sized cities across the Kingdom, "which reflects our commitment to our members and their beneficiaries, by offering expanded access to quality care," he continued.
For his part, the head nurse of the mobile health unit, Mohamed Mansour, expressed his desire to ensure adapted health coverage and bring care closer to the beneficiaries, in accordance with the Foundation's commitments.
Spanning 11 days, the "Azyr Santé Mobile" medical campaign covers the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, with three stops in the cities of Rabat, Khemisset, and Sidi Kacem, respectively.
A second medical campaign is also planned for mid-January in the Marrakech-Safi region, with seven additional stops in the cities of Benguerir, El Kelaâ Sraghna, Imintanoute, Chichaoua, Essaouira, Safi, and Youssoufia.
The medical team mobilized for this purpose includes competent doctors and medical assistants, in addition to an experienced administrative and technical staff, ensuring the reception of members in the best conditions.
