Medical care for 139 underprivileged people

A large multidisciplinary caravan was organised in Khemisset for the benefit of underprivileged patients. The operation, which lasted one day, was initiated by the province's Health Solidarity and Development Centre.
Medical care for 139 underprivileged people

Following medical examinations that benefited more than 139 people, medicines were distributed to patients who were prescribed temporary treatment by volunteer doctors. Naturally, long-term medical care was granted to certain patients suffering from chronic diseases (diabetes, hypertension...) as well as surgical interventions. "The objective of this caravan is to allow underprivileged populations to benefit from medical services in various specialties thanks to this type of large-scale social action and to have access to necessary care," explains Driss Kaddari, president of the Health Solidarity and Development Centre in Khemisset. This humanitarian operation aims to strengthen local access to care services," he added. The centre also plans to organise a series of medical caravans for the benefit of needy people during this year, he concluded. The caravan was punctuated by awareness workshops on oral and dental prevention, food hygiene, the popularisation of science, and animal health.
